Their State of the Art stores and equipment are designed to give a lasting impression. Recognizing everyone is busy and time is valuable, they have created locations large enough that appointments are never necessary.

California Sun approached Joint Medias desiring a brand new online presence. They wanted to update their “sexy” image and keep a strong foothold in the tanning industry. We sat down with owner Mike Blore and discussed exactly what they wanted. What we came up with was a beautiful new website, myspace presence and interactive blog. Please take a look at the screen shots below and don’t forget to visit California Sun.

A CMS is content management system software for creating and managing website content. So a CMS site is a website that allows website owners and administrators to create, edit and remove pages, text, images, links and more. Most systems use a database to store content and some content management systems allow the style and layout of a website to be managed. The image below is a screen shot of a CMS for a portfolio, the user can add projects, attach images, videos and audio files to the project as well as arrange the projects in categories.

At Joint Medias we build both simple and complex custom management systems with an array of different content and media types. We also implement a wide range of open source content management systems, systems built by other software developers who source code is freely available to use as necessary. If you have any comments or questions please feel free post them below.

The Challenge

Nfinit Solutions is a subsidiary of the Nehemiah Corporation of America, one of the most trusted names in the real estate industry. Nehemiah has served as a catalyst for economic empowerment and wealth creation by expanding opportunities for responsible homeownership, affordable housing, and community revitalization.

In 2008 after the housing market collapsed, Nfinit wanted to reposition itself as a leader in “Home Retention” services. Their objective was to pair this latest business model with new branding and a fresh online presence. There were 4 goals that needed to be accomplished: a new brand identity, a new corporate website, a “Home Retention” website and clear separation online for both business partners and homeowners. They also needed to manage the content on both websites, coinciding with their real marketing efforts.

The Results

Joint Medias created a modern, conceptual logo for Nfinit Solutions. Their identity was expanded with style guides containing multiple color palettes and layout options. This new identity was integrated into both the corporate and “Home Retention” website designs. Both websites implement advanced user interface components, search capabilities and dynamic content. Joint Medias also developed an interactive administration panel allowing content to be shared between websites, members to be tracked and components to be managed. The “Home Retention” website was developed with two user profiles in mind, the business partner and the homeowner. Each section has its own features and content.

With the industry scrambling to turn around, Nfinit had the entire project on a timeline of two months. Joint Medias was able to complete everything in time and Nfinit has since maintained their industry leadership.

The Technology

MYSQL, PHP, XHTML, CSS, AJAX, Flash
